Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Del City Vision Source the leading provider of vision care products and services in Del City.


Thomas Blue, ODPhoto of Thomas Blue, OD

Dr. Blue graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry and soon after established his practice in Del City in 1973.  He became part of the Mid-Del Vision Source team in 2013.   He is currently a member of the Del City Rotary Club and Del City Chamber of Commerce.  He is a former president of both organizations and has served on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Del Education Foundation.  He is a member of The Oklahoma Honor Flights Committee and has had the privilege of accompanying World War II Veterans on five Honor Flights to Washington DC.  He recently returned from his tenth medical mission trip to Mexico.

He is involved in all phases of optometric practice, including diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, contact lens care, and examination for the vision correction needs of his patients.  Recognition, subsequent referral, and co-management for expanded treatment of conditions such as retina disease, cataract surgery, auto-immune conditions, and diabetic complications are important facets of his approach to the privilege of caring for his patients.

His children were educated in the Mid-Del School system and his late wife Jana was a science teacher at Midwest City HS up until her retirement.


Jeffrey “Brock” Cherry, ODPhoto of Dr. Jeffery "Brock" Cherry

Dr. Cherry was raised in Midwest City, OK, and graduated from Choctaw High School in 2012. He graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He attended Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK, and graduated in May of 2020. While there, he was active in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and traveled to Roatan, Honduras in 2018 & 2019 on optometric mission trips. He was also an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Before graduation, Dr. Cherry completed a clinical externship at Triad Eye Institute in Tulsa, OK. After graduating, Dr. Cherry completed an ocular disease residency at the VA in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. Cherry and his wife, Jenna, now live in Midwest City along with their two daughters, Brooklynn and Ellie. Jenna also attended Oklahoma Baptist University where she received a nursing degree, and she is currently a full-time mom. Dr. Cherry loves spending time with his family, playing the guitar, and watching OU football.


Chase Hunter, ODPhoto of Chase Hunter, OD

Dr. Chase Hunter was born and raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Bethany High School in 1998. He graduated from East Central University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry.  Working his way through college as a mechanic, he also enjoyed being active in the Student Senate, the Baptist Student Union and the Inter-Fraternal Council.  He held many offices including President of the Student Government and President of the Inter-Fraternal Council.  Dr. Hunter was also awarded as a Top Ten Senior Graduates at East Central University.

After graduating Dr. Hunter owned and operated an optometry practice in Edmond for fifteen years. In 2023, Dr. Hunter was excited to join the Vision Source team to better meet the needs of his patients and the changing needs of his family.  Dr Hunter and his wife, Erin, have been married since 2002.  Erin also attended East Central University earning a bachelor’s degree of science in nursing and is currently a full-time mom.  They have been blessed with seven wonderful children, Coleman, London, Crew, Paisley, Case, Cross and Everly.

Their family has been actively involved with foster care and adoption through the majority of their marriage.  In 2014, Dr. Hunter was named the Adoption Advocate of the Year by OK DHS.  Dr. Hunter is also a board member and helped start the Karis Adoption Fund.  This organization works to provide financial assistance to families pursuing adoption.  Dr. Hunter and his wife enjoy weekly date nights, serving at church, and time with their children which fill their days with love, laughter, and constant entertainment.
